The Hands of Japanese serial killer Tsutomu Miyazaki, 1989
Tsutomu Miyazaki was a child serial killer in Tokyo during the late 1980s. He was a murderer, ped0phile, and necr0phile (sexual attraction to corpses). Despite coming from a wealthy family, Miyazaki felt like he was ostracised for his hands, which were due to being born prematurely.
Miyazaki had a deep interest in anime and manga, and was given the name "The Otaku Killer". Otaku is a name given to someone who is heavily interested in anime and manga, which are Japanese cartoons and comics. During his time in prison, he even requested for manga to be sent to him.
Miyazaki had 4 victims:
Mari Konno (今野真理, Konno Mari): four years old, 22 August 1988.
Masami Yoshizawa (吉沢正美, Yoshizawa Masami): seven years old, 3 October 1988.
Erika Namba (難波絵梨香, Namba Erika): four years old, 12 December 1988.
Ayako Nomoto (野本綾子, Nomoto Ayako): five years old, 6 June 1989.
Miyazaki would then use their bodies for sexual gratification. He even cannibalized some of their remains. He also sent parts of their bodies back to their families with cryptic notes.
He was arrested when he was reported to the police for taking indecent pictures of a young girl in a park. At his trial, he was found to have multiple personality disorder. Despite this, he knew what he was doing was wrong, and he was found guilty. He was hanged in 2008.
The picture above goes viral every once in a while, as his hands often remind viewers of Count Orlok from the cult classic horror film, Nosferatu.
